Batch #23 - Kveik bochet
This is a quick bochet using kveik yeast
- 3lbs Wildflower honey
- Imperial A43 - Loki
1.5 lbs of uncooked honey was added to the fermenter and mixed with 1.5 gallons of water.
1.5 lbs of the honey was cooked until it caramelized and turned a black color. This was then mixed with 1 gallon of water to dissolve. This was then added to the fermenter.
1/2 tsp of yeast nutrient was added and the must was aerated.
Yeast pitched at 1830
6/10/2019 - At 9AM there is already large krausen and rapid bubling in airlock showing significant fermentation activity.
